Summer Program

• During the summer months, The Family & Learning Center offers intensive training programs for students in need of remediating, strengthening, or enriching their learning skills.  Each student’s curriculum is custom designed by our Educational Therapist based on the student’s cognitive profile and educational needs.  The student’s carefully constructed program is then carried out in a one-on-one setting by our highly qualified Educational Coaches.
   
  The following is a sample of the areas of focus offered: 
  
  • Reading I : Phonemic Awareness and Phonics (Spelling and Decoding)
  • Reading II : Fluency and Vocabulary
  • Reading III : Comprehension
  • Fundamentals of Writing —Sentences to Essays
  • Mathematical Reasoning 
  • Mathematical Concept Development 
  • Critical Thinking Skills Development 
  • Study Skills, Organization and Planning 
  • Standardized Test Preparation, including SAT 
  • Back to School 'Kick Start' 

  This year, our summer program will run from June 11th through August 31st.  Flexible scheduling options are available.  Sessions begin hourly from 8am to 4pm and are two hours long.  Three scheduling options are available:

  1. Monday through Friday for a total of 10 coaching hours in the week.  This schedule is billed at $750 per week.

  2. Monday, Wednesday, Friday for a total of 6 coaching hours in the week.  This schedule is billed at $450 per week.

  3. Tuesday and Thursday for a total of 4 coaching hours in the week.  This schedule is billed at $300 per week.
