• Contact our office to schedule a complimentary consultation with Bonnie M.Weiss, M.Ed., Director, or Danika Kirsch, M.Ed., Assistant Director. Consultations are conducted at The Family & Learning Center or over the phone.
• Depending on the age of the student and the challenges he/she is experiencing, it may be suggested that the student attend the consultation along with the parents. 
• During the consultation, Bonnie or Danika will interview the parents and/or student about the student’s strengths, challenges, and current academic concerns.  At this time, previous school records and/or assessments will be reviewed, along with other important information necessary to make a recommendation for an individualized program for the student.
• Students do not need to have had a formal evaluation in order to attend Educational Coaching sessions. When the area of focus is clearly identified in the consultation, a program plan will be created for the student, and the student can begin Educational Coaching. In some cases, it will be recommended that the student complete an educational screening conducted by Bonnie or Danika in order to better customize a program for the student.*  In other situations, a formal Neuropsychological/Psychoeducational Evaluation may be recommended.  In this case, a list of psychologists who specialize in conducting evaluations will be provided upon request.
• Once a program has been recommended, the student will be placed with the Educational Coach who will best meet the student's needs.  (Students who attend sessions intensively may work with two Educational Coaches.)  Additionally, Bonnie and/or Danika will work with the student and family to create a schedule for Educational Coaching sessions.  For more information about scheduling and office policies, please see the Registration Form below. 
•  A completed Registration Form must be submitted to the office on or before the student’s first Educational Coaching session.

 * The fee for an educational screening is $72 per hour, and typically takes one hour to complete.
